Providing Important Tech for Children

Your surplus tech can change children’s lives

Laptops and mobile phones are not only a means to keep in touch with friends and family when in refuge, they are also vital for children if they are to remain in education.

At a time when children have been uprooted from their homes and all that is familiar to them, the devices also help their mums to have access to benefits, health and employment services so that they can start to build their new lives together.

Hand-held devices are vital to help children in refuge regain their independence.

Partnering with Sustainable Tech 4 Good, and its Founder and Ambassador to KidsOut, Sue Gowling, this amazing organisation has provided KidsOut with over 400 devices for children and their children, giving them the tech they need to help them regain their independence.

Calling all businesses and organisations

We want your surplus tech so we can help disadvantaged children.

Sustainable Tech 4 Good offers data secure sustainable solutions and will take all surplus tech, including hand-held devices such as laptops, tablets and mobile phones, through to networking and servers*, for either refurbishing and donating to children in refuge, or selling on, with a product of equal value donated to KidsOut for every tenth item sold.

*When data erasure and data back-up is required before donation, this can be carried out on-site by the S4G company experts on-site.

Sustainable Tech 4 Good refurbishes 80% of donated tech, helping to reduce the damage to our planet caused by the growing problem of electronic waste.

How it works

  • Your legacy tech is securely collected by Sustainable Tech 4 Good at no cost to you and is fully audited.
  • The tech is securely data erased to Government Infosec Standard 5 Enhanced, then repaired and refurbished for reuse.
  • You will receive Inclusion and Sustainability Reporting and Data Erasure Certification
  • Your Digital Inclusion Report provides direct feedback about who has been helped by your tech, which you can share to demonstrate how you are helping disadvantaged children.

How already successful partner businesses are helping to bring about digital inclusion:
