KidsOut’s first ever Bristol Golf Day was a huge success, raising over a phenomenal £42,000 for the charity’s work in supporting disadvantaged children in Bristol and the South West.
Sponsored by Barratt Developments, the event took place on a sunny Thursday 8th July at The Kendleshire Golf Club, Bristol, and guests were treated to on course refreshments at the Halfway House, kindly sponsored by Homeviews, and a range of competitions.
DBM Wines provided a wine tasting challenge on the 8th hole, with Clarkson Evans being the lucky winners, and Truffle & Thyme providing a range of cured meats and fine cheese for guests to satisfy their taste buds on the 13th hole.
Over 110 guests from local and national businesses and professions participated, and along with the usual golfing challenges such as closest to the pin and straightest drive, guests could ‘Outdrive 10 year old Jaxson’ on the 10th hole, ‘Chipping Challenge’ on the 19th where individuals would compete to get their golf ball in a boat sitting on the lake, and ‘Guess the total numbers of balls lost’. All lucky winners got to take home a Magnum bottle of champagne with thanks to DMB Wines. A big congratulations to the overall winners Barratt David Wilson Homes.
The day provided a great setting to spend time with colleagues, potential clients, and social acquaintances. Chris Burton, Bristol Committee Chairman, was blown away by the response to our 2021 Golf Day ‘Our first Bristol Kids Out golf day was a huge success, and we must thank everybody who was involved in supporting and organising the day. The fantastic amount raised will help further expand our charity’s activities in the South West.”
The whole team at KidsOut would like to reiterate our thanks to all involved. A special thanks is warranted to the Bristol Committee for their dedication and commitment in making this a huge success. We’d like to thank our main sponsors Barratt Developments, the below hole sponsors and also The Kendleshire for hosting the spectacular day.
