KidsOut’s Manchester Question of Sport Gala Dinner was a great success, raising up to £16,590 for the charity’s work with disadvantaged children throughout Manchester. Over 300 people from Manchester-based companies joined KidsOut at The Etihad Stadium for a night of fun and fundraising on Friday 19th November 2021.
KidsOut were thrilled to welcome presenter Darren Proctor as evening host and auctioneer for the Manchester Gala Dinner. There were more special guests in attendance, including John Parrott as the quizmaster for the evening.
Congratulations to Fluent Money who won the Champions League trophy. They were well-deserved victor of the interactive sports quiz!
In addition to the main quiz, guests could take part in two auctions. There were some fantastic items up for grabs in the silent auction and main auctions, including a two executive seats to a Manchester United match, Tesla versus Viper Driving Experience, signed ‘Etihad Stadium’ street sign and poster, luxury artwork by Rob Bishop, and a George Clooney signed picture. Perhaps the most exclusive item on sale was a one-of-a-kind signed boot by professional footballer, Jack Grealish.
Each year KidsOut offers awards to people or companies for their outstanding support and contributions to the charity. This year’s award was presented to Kevin Hindley in recognition of his tireless commitment to KidsOut’s work and mission we congratulate him on becoming our latest Lifetime Ambassador, a truly deserved award.
KidsOut would like to say a huge thank you to the Gala’s Manchester event committee, as the Question of Sport event would not have been possible without their help and support. The money raised at this event will be used as vital funds to continue to supply Fun Days and Toy Boxes to disadvantaged children throughout Manchester and its surrounding area, helping KidsOut bring fun and happiness to disadvantaged children who need it most.
The date of the next KidsOut Manchester Gala Dinner is soon to be confirmed. Be sure to stay up-to-date with the charity’s social media channels for more details!
