A team of staff from Hasbro, the well-known toy company, whose toys include the brand names Play-Doh, Peppa Pig, and My Little Pony, recently chose to support KidsOut as part of their company’s Corporate and Social Responsibility services.
Determined to make a big impact, the staff managed to pick and pack an incredible 1200 toy boxes for children living in women’s refuges as well as children in safe houses, ready to be delivered in time for Christmas Day.
KidsOut’s, Head of Children’s Services, Sandra Doherty, visited Hasbro’s offices in Newport to see what she described as a mountain of boxes surrounding a busy team who were deep in concentration.
Sandra said, “I was blown away by how hard everyone was working – 1200 is an absolutely enormous number of boxes and well on the way to being a record number packed in the time taken. As a charity we support thousands of children across Wales. On behalf of everyone at KidsOut, thank you everyone who took part on the day, and a special thanks to Hasbro, whose ongoing support means so much to us.”
