At a time when many children will now be in quarantine in refuges across the country, they need our services more than ever to experience fun and happiness while living through extreme difficulty. As soon as the social distancing restrictions are lifted, we can get back to taking children on Fun Days out to theatres, cinemas, and other exciting activities beneficial the protection and preservation of a child’s welfare. COVID-19 will come to an end and when it does we need to make sure that we are in the best possible shape to get straight back to doing what we do best as the ‘fun and happiness’ charity: putting smiles on the faces of children.

As part of our KidsIn initiative, you can help us provide Fun Days out after the social distancing measures have been lifted by taking part in our “Fun Days In” campaign! We are asking people to:

1. Take a picture/video of themselves having a fun day in
2. Upload it onto social media using the hashtag #FunDaysIn
3. Tag 5 friends to do the same
4. Text ‘FUNDAYSIN 5’ to 70085 to donate £5!*

Here is a suggested social media post wording that you can use:

I’m supporting @KidsOut with their new initiative asking people to upload their #FunDaysIn on social media! Here’s mine! [brief description of your fun day if you want to].

Please text FUNDAYSIN 5 to 70085 to donate £5 so KidsOut can provide disadvantaged children with fun days out after social distancing restrictions end! Visit https://www.kidsout.org.uk/fundaysin/ for more info!

There are loads of things you can do at home and have #FunDaysIn! For example, you could get your family together and:

• build that puzzle that’s been on your shelf for years
• construct a brand new creation with building blocks
• create an artistic masterpiece with colouring pencils, crayons, or paint
• have fun playing your favourite board game

*Donations can be made by texting the code FUNDAYSIN followed by a space and the amount as a number to 70085. For example, to donate £10 you would text the following to 70085: ‘FUNDAYSIN 10’. You can opt to give any whole amount up to £20. Texts cost the amount you want to donate plus one standard rate message and you’ll be opting in to hear more about our work and fundraising via telephone and SMS.
