KidsOut join Age UK as beneficiaries to ‘19 Something Festival’

A Reading based collective of music promoters, DJs, musicians and radio presenters, are hosting a music festival called ‘’19 Something,” in November, from which all proceeds will be shared equally between the charities, KidsOut and Age UK.

The festival’s name was given by the Founder, Ady Baker, who said that when he asked several beneficiaries from the charity Age UK, when they were born, they endearingly replied, “19 something.”

The collective was formed before covid, establishing a not-for-profit organisation, to provide a platform for rising stars and local heroes, and has since grown into what the organisers say, is a must-see event in the region. The November festival will host both new and well-known names, including Gemma Rogers, O, Casino, and Bennet. More acts are still to be announced.

A spokesperson and organiser of 19 Something, Matt Partridge, who works for Colt Technology Services, the main sponsors of the festival, said, “We are not sure that any music festival has supported two incredible charities from both extremes of society before, but we are passionate about helping both. Our intention is to roll the festivals out to other regions too, which means both charities will benefit more in the future. It’s a win-win for everyone involved.”

Tickets to the Festival at Ambrose Bar, Reading, on November 2nd, are priced affordably at £15 in advance, or £20 on the door. Tickets available from www.19something.co.uk
