Well-known campaigner against domestic abuse, joins KidsOut Board of Trustees

We are delighted to announce, Ada Ibezi to our Board of Trustees at KidsOut. Ada is the founder and CEO of Against Domestic Abuse (ADA), a not-for-profit organisation who raise awareness about domestic abuse as well as support women and children affected by it. She will bring a wealth of knowledge to the charity.

She is a Domestic Abuse Community Ambassador and a qualified Freedom Programme Facilitator. She says that she is, “a thriver,” after her own lived experience.

Ada is currently working alongside the Metropolitan Police as part of the MET’s community centred learning project, and has been the designated safeguarding lead, delivering school-wide safeguarding and child protection training. She also volunteers for the charity Hestia, the largest provider of refuges and safe houses for women and children in London and the South East of England.

Ada said, “I am delighted to be joining this amazing charity as Trustee. Based on my personal experience as a survivor of domestic abuse, along with my children, I know how the work the charity provides families affected, is life changing. I am honoured to be part of this incredible team of people.”
