KidsOut is thrilled to welcome Eileen Barnes-Vachell to our Board of Trustees! With over 40 years of experience in the education sector, Eileen has dedicated her career to improving opportunities for children, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Eileen has held leadership roles as Headteacher, Director of School Improvement, and CEO of a school group in the Middle East. She has also played a pivotal role in shaping national and international education policies, advising governments on initiatives such as ‘Every Child Matters’ and the ‘London Challenge’.

Passionate about social change and justice, Eileen is committed to enhancing the academic, social, and life outcomes of vulnerable children. Her expertise in governance, strategic leadership, and impactful services makes her an invaluable addition to the KidsOut team.

On joining KidsOut, Eileen shared:
